Ever wonder why idol bands are so popular? Although a handful of them can't really sing much better than mi, they are simply popular juz by the way they look. Another thing that might set u thinking would be, a boys/girl band are usually more popular than a solo artist (to a certain extend). These thoughts of mine has somehow make mi recall a nightmare.

Years ago when i was still a young and cute teenager(ke lian mei ren ai), being childish at that time, we would often want to group ourselves as some stupid idol boy band. So 3 of my frens and I decided to shamelessly call ourselves F4.

FYI - F4 is a taiwanese boy band that shot to fame with its adapted version of Meteor Garden serial drama. It was such a big hit that they turned singers overnite with thier song Meteor Shower. I must say that though i was not veri fond of them at first, i must admit they do haf certain looks to make girls go crazy over them. (For girls that are reading this now pls do not deny that u nv like them before now that u found out how childish u were then.)

Back to my embarrassing past, 4 of us would each "select 1 character to be" and address each other by that alias. So being 1 of the better looking in the group (self-proclaimed), i was chosen to be Huaze Lei ( yes, yes puke if u wan to ). Thus the crew of DaoMing Shi, Huaze Lei, Ximen and Meizou is formed. (Meizou...am i correct? really dun remember that name)

Therefore, four think-they-are-really-damn-cool jokers would walk inside the shopping center equipped wif shades and striking outfits. These society fashion fiends would roam the town every weekend terrorizing singaporeans. Worse still, my fren would shout "Ah Lei, ah Lei" in the middle of nowhere to call mi. For that instance, i wish i had a Boots of Travel to teleport me to the nearest plastic surgeon to change my face forever, so that no one from that place could recognise mi. If that's not bad enough, i could recall my fren requesting us to sing 'Meteor Shower' on the bus. (ARGHHH~!~~!!)

I must say although its was really childish and stupid, deep down inside we somehow feel satisfied and a sort of psychological need of recognition has been fulfilled. I guess that's wat being young and innocent is about. Maybe that's the reason why Chee Hian still use Ximen as his nick today at this veri moment when i'm chatting wif him on MSN.

Even though only 3 of us are still in contact, nevertheless, i dedicate this to my dear fren Chee Hian a.k.a Ximen, Kai Ming a.k.a Vaness, and Ryan a.k.a DaoMing Shi. (Ryan has since lost contact wif us over some issues.)
